Live-Graffiti, parties, Art-Shows. The canadian MOS gave a detailed impression of whats going on over there.

mon08wall1.jpg No wonder, the event started early. The locals arranged some really big walls in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles with animation on site and giveaways.
A club party with THE FRENCH CONNECTION – mashups, funk, hiphop, soul, 80′s closed the first day. Thank you to all the artists and everyone who made this possible. 16a.jpg

The thoughts that are being laid onto these pieces of art were exceptional and some just sophisticatedly simple. There were Installations, sculptures, paintings, photographs, sketches and studies, limited edition prints and products that will be available at this show. 06.jpg

There was a book signing by the curators of “Piecebook, the secret drawings of graffiti writers”, written by Sacha Jenkins and David ‘Chino’ Villorente. Curated by StreetsAreSayingThings.com and www.yveslaroche.com. In memory of Vittorio Fiorucci.

Several stations, such as Berri-UQAM are important examples of modernist architecture. Along with the Stockholm Metro, Montreal pioneered the installation of public art in the metro. monstationenter.jpg
montrealmetroglasgraf.jpg More than fifty stations are decorated with over one hundred works of public art, such as sculpture, stained glass, and murals by noted Quebec artists, including
members of the famous art movement, the Automatistes. As a North American city, Montreal shares many of the cultural features characteristic of the other metropolis on the continent. montrains.jpg
