Ireland was one of the first countries to join the MOS back in 2002. After the meeting moved over to Liverpool and Birmingham in the UK, it comes back to Ireland. |
| Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. It is the largest urban area in Northern Ireland and the province of Ulster and the second-largest city on the island of Ireland. | ![]() |
In the 2001 census, the population within the city limits was 276.459 while 579.554 people lived in the wider Belfast Metropolitan Area. This made it the fifteenth-largest city in the United Kingdom, but the eleventh-largest conurbation.
Because of the Ireland-conflict, Belfast has been a hot hot place where a lot of crazy things happened. Also the city has a history and culture of wall-painting which makes it kind of special. As most of the murals are military style, some walls are slowly changing with peacefull motives.
Int. Meeting of Styles, 01-03 August, Clonduff Community Centre, Belfast – Ireland
Watch out for the irish MOS2009! We got something very special coming up.

The bombings were part of a concerted bombing campaign against economic, military and political targets in Northern Ireland. The group carried out a total of 1,300 bombings in 1972.

do people really need to know that side of historical events in n.ireland?
its a graff jam not a g8 summit meeting
>there is so much more to know out there… MOS is a politcal event in its basic intention. we always tried to keep the political idea, somehow, and to raise consciousness. so why not put some attention on whats going on or went on out there in this world. actually the historical events inspired us to bring the meeting up there. lets post about it.

>thats what we are working on. we hope to get cool walls and support on both sides of the community.

If anyone coming over fancies a longer trip we’re doing some graff stuff, including a week of Masterclasses with the Scrawl Collective in the 2 weeks before this event.

Just wondering; will sabotaz be selling paint at the event or are they just sponsoring? There’s nowhere in N. Ireland that sells it and it would be a good opportunity to pick up a couple of cans to try out while the company is there to sponsor the event…
