DSC02063.jpg It wasn´t easy this time…after there were problems with permission and communication the second bulgarian MOS stayed on track.

Welcome to Europe! Eventhough bulgarian Graf-scene joins Europe for several years, the nation recently has become official part of the European Union. sofiapic.jpg
sofiapic2.jpg Sofia is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria wiith a population of 1,3 million making it the 15th largest city in the European Union.

It is located in western Bulgaria, at the foot of the mountain massif Vitosha and is the administrative, cultural, and economic centre of the country.

One of the oldest capital cities in Europe, the history of Sofia dates back to the 8th century BC, when Thracians established a settlement there. Sofia has had several names in the different periods of its existence, and remnants of the city’s millenary history can still be seen today alongside modern landmarks.

Fortunately it was possible to serve you another funky fresh and colourfull bulgarian MOS. The MOS-spot 007 was a Tennis court, situated in the Students Town in Sofia. sofia07flyer.jpg
sof07area.jpg In spring and summer, it is a place, full only with young people and about 30min. from the city-center. There were actually three walls for the artists plus some smaller ones around.

The biggest wall was double sided and had space for 12 artists on each side while two other walls gave space for 6 artists each. Total wallspace was painted by approx 36 writers.

The jam started saturday morning. Luckily walls were already primed, cause the day started cloudy with slight showers. Around high-noon, it became sunny, so everybody got ready to rock. dsc02010.jpg
dsc02015.jpg Djs plugged in the system to spin their tunes while the writers sorted out their cans and concepts. After the sun came out, it got really hot and more and more spectators came to watch, to chill and to chat.

Beside of writers from all over Bulgaria, crews such as NTN, LBC or Crime or Art-Crew from Puerto Rico showed up plus a writer from Germany who brought his daughter to help him fill his letters and to help him on the flow of his style.

Because of the low income, bulgarian writers always been very innovative on the quest for new techniques, skills and medias
Artists from all over Bulgaria, Greece and from Puerto Rico met the in an atmospharic sports-yard at the students-town.

Eventhough Bulgaria has talkers and haters like almost everywhere, Bulgarians in general are very nice and open-minded people, as they like to party and to drink. So no doubt that the vibe was very positive.
