Welcome back to Poland! The polish Meeting came up strong with a lot of attractions!

Lublin is the ninth largest city in Poland and is the capital of Lublin Voivodeship with a population of 350392 in 2009. It is also the largest Polish city east of the Vistula river and was a candidate for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2016.

It is not only the biggest city in eastern Poland, but an important culture core city also. Since accession of Poland into the EU, Lublin has been called “Gate to the East.”

Since then, many important international events have taken place here, involving Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Russian and Belorussian artists, researchers and politicians.

Spanish with Bulgarians, Austrians with Czechs, and residents from Wrocław with Berlin ones. All these people met in Lublin during the previous editions of Lublin Graffiti Festival. They painted the walls in the very centre of the town. During the breaks between using the next cans of paint, they could get together over the screening of graffiti films. They took part in the exhibition, and finally they painted their names together with the musicians during the jam session. This is what graffiti writers, who visited Lublin themselves, can say about Lublin Graffiti Festival.

And what can the audience say? Certainly, they could see a lot. They could admire murals, the ones which had never been created in Poland before. They could sing the praises of the pieces of art linking the style present in churches a few hundred years ago with the style of painting the walls.

The audience may remember how the event influences overcoming the barriers and skipping the generation gap. Grandparents with grandchildren were watching how the art stemming from the street was taking its shape. The young listening to hip-hop and funk were resting and watching how the grey wall was getting painted. These were the subsequent editions of Lublin Graffiti Festival, the event, which has already become an inherent part of the most interesting Polish graffiti writers? schedule. That?s how Lublin Graffiti Festival looked like when visited by crowds of young people, and tourists doing sightseeing at the same time in Lublin. This year, Lublin will unquestionably become the capital of graffiti.

Artists from all over France over to Spain, Germany and the UK had announced their coming. Beside of Graffiti all disciplines of Hip-Hop-Culture was represented.

Settlement in the area go back to Roman times. Medieval town seems to have been founded around early 10th century. Besieged, captured by the French during the 30Years’ War in 1642, it was ceded by Spain 17 years later and began to form part of the Kingdom of France.

For a long time it was not clear , but finally the new coalition of Wiesbaden has decided to support the Meeting and enables us to keep the event in its hometown!

Once again we are happy to present you Graffiti-and Spray-Can-Art on its top level! Artists from all over the world are coming to Wiesbaden for a colourfull weekend to collaborate and to create huge monuments of art on walls.

	Due to elections of a new city-council it was not clear if we can hold the Meeting again in 2011. But finally after negotians were finished the result seems to be a good compromise: legal walls shall be maintained and additional walls shall be build as part of the Cultural-Park at the Schlachthof-grounds.
We hope the future of the MOS in Wiesbaden is secured now. Beside of Graffiti-Art the Meeting will represent all disciplines of Hip-Hop-Culture and an After-Show. During the festival bar and barbeque will be provided for your convenience.

The original Brückenkopf represents the biggest Mural-Gallery among Rhine-Main and beyond.

	A huge underpass-complex at the bench of the Rhine containing meanhwile more than 3000qm space on several walls, well reachable by train, car and bus….
The first events already happened late 90ies. Since then the underpass has completely changed from ghetto to an art-gallery.
	The main walls in the underpass have space for about 80-100 artists and are created in huge concepts.

Various smaller walls at entrance and exit below the train-tracks

enlarge the gallery and are available to paint all year long.

These walls give space for single pieces, but also crew-productions.

Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland with a population of approx 400.000 and 1million in its urban areas. It is Switzerland’s main commercial and cultural centre and due to the concentration of financial power it is widely considered to be one of the world’s global cities.

According to several surveys the city should have the “best quality of life” in the world. It is a hub for rail, road, air and money traffic.

The place to be is the wellknown Red Factory, a place where several different types of culture meet on a peacefull daily basis.

Many painted walls make the spot a huge gallery of Graffiti and Mural-Art. It is located next to the lake in a relaxed atmosphere.
	The factory has a lot of nice walls in various sizes for single pieces as well as for complex roductions.

MOS keeps on spreading and meets China! The place to be: Changsha City, the capital city of Hunan, a province of south-central China, located on the lower reaches of Xiang river.

Changsha municipality has a population of 6,017,600, the urbanized area has around 2.7 million people.

	Under the Qing dynasty, from 1664, it was the capital of Hunan province and was besieged during the Taiping Rebellion but never fell.
Changsha was the site of Mao Zedong’s conversion to communism. It was the scene of major battles in the Sino-Japanese War of 1937–45 and was briefly occupied by the Japanese.

Rebuilt since 1949, the city is now a major port and a commercial and industrial center.

The premiere presented more than 90 artists and 28 crews representing chinese and asian Graffiti-Art at its top-level!

	The place to be, the wall to rock  was not the chinese wall, but still gave enough space for buckets of paint!

Another premiere: Budapest, the capital of Hungary joins the MOS-map!

As the largest city of Hungary, it serves as the country’s principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial and transportation centre.

In 2010 Budapest had 1,721,556 inhabitants, its Commuter Area is home to 3,271,110 people. The city covers an area of 525 square kilometres within the city limits. The Budapest Metro is the rapid transit system and is the second-oldest underground metro system in the world after the London Underground.

	Its iconic Line 1, dating from 1896, was declared a World Heritage Site in 2002. The Metro consists of three lines, each designated by a number and a colour.
Metro Line 4 is currently under construction; the first section is scheduled to open in 2012.
